Take care of the present

Above all things in the world, persue the present. The past and the future are lovers whom you should have as little contact with as possible. One has had it's way with you never to return, whilst the other entices and seduces but never commits itself to you. They will always be in your life, but do not let them distract you from the present. The present is the true friend that stands beside you through every experience. It allows you the opportunity to heal rotting wounds and bathe in warm glowing memories of the past. It lays evanescent dreams within your grasp to either safegaurd or crush in your grip. The present is a jealous lover though, it will not open up it's riches to you unless you are fully committed to it. It understands where you have been and where you want to go and all it requires is that you allow it be what it is meant to be...a reflection of you.

Allow the present to reflect you my love. More often than not, it is not an easy sight to take in. It is however the most honest assessment that you can recieve. Where society and friends and family and reason and emotion would mislead you, the present will be prepared to be your looking glass and your most honest critic and fervent supporter!

If you would engage the present persistently and honestly, your past will not be fraught with regret and your future will be an inspiration for you to persue your dreams.

General Advice

Everything is governed by Cause and Effect - if you follow through with an action you must understand it's effect and must be willing to accept whatever comes from it. Do your best to understand the cause. To try and understand effect is a far greater task as a single cause can have an infinite number of effects.

Good & Evil are brothers. With everything that lies in you try to find yourself on the side of good. If you find yourself on the side of evil, know that good will seek you out and repay your works in full.

Altruism is sacrifice. Selflessness is not a path that all can follow. If we all followed it, there would be no more need of it. Take care my love not to love blindly and if you must do so, then prepare to be freed of this world's bonds and hunted like a fugitive.

Question all things. Question all things to find the truth. The truth will open your eyes to see life as it should be seen, it will open your lungs to breath in life afresh each and everyday, it will strengthen your back to stand under life's enormous weight and will give you a heart that will remind you that life comes from within and is constant. Truth cannot be found in another's revelations, it is not a cup that can be shared. Your cup is your own. Empty your cup and fill it with truth that you have sought. Truth is not universal if you are not universal. Some have a very narrow view of life, you cannot risk filling your cup with their brand of truth.

Ask the right questions. Accept that not all questions will have answers. Accept too that a single question can have many opposing answers and that the answer will often not satisfy the motive for your question.
